Shipping Policy

Thank you for shopping with Garage Machinery. We are committed to delivering your order safely, quickly, and efficiently. Please review our shipping policy below for full details on processing times, delivery methods, and important freight information.

1. Order Processing Time

All orders are processed within 1–3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after payment is received.

You will receive a confirmation email once your order has shipped, including tracking information when available.

If we experience high order volume or unexpected delays, we will notify you as soon as possible.

2. Shipping Methods

Because many of our products are heavy garage machinery, including car lifts, orders may ship using:

  • Standard parcel carriers (for smaller items)

  • LTL freight carriers (for large or heavy equipment)

  • Scheduled freight delivery with appointment

Shipping method depends on product size, weight, and destination.

3. Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated based on:

  • Product size and weight

  • Delivery location

  • Freight carrier rates

  • Residential vs commercial delivery

Shipping charges are displayed at checkout unless marked Free Shipping.

Some remote or limited-access areas may require additional fees.

4. Delivery Time Estimates

Estimated delivery times after shipment:

  • Standard items: 3–7 business days

  • Freight shipments: 5–12 business days

  • Custom or special-order equipment: Varies (see product page)

Delivery times are estimates and not guaranteed.

5. Freight Delivery (Large Equipment)

Large items such as car lifts ship via freight and require special delivery conditions.

Please note:

✔ Someone must be present to receive the shipment
✔ Delivery appointments may be required
✔ Freight carriers deliver curbside unless otherwise arranged
✔ You are responsible for moving equipment from curbside into your garage or facility

Optional services (additional cost may apply):

  • Liftgate delivery

  • Inside delivery

  • Residential delivery

  • Limited access delivery

6. Inspecting Your Shipment (VERY IMPORTANT)

Before signing for any freight shipment:

  1. Inspect packaging for visible damage

  2. Note any damage on the delivery receipt

  3. Take photos if damage is present

  4. Refuse delivery if damage is severe

Failure to report damage at delivery may prevent freight claims.

7. Shipping Locations

We currently ship to:

  • 50 United States

We do not ship to P.O. boxes for freight items.

Alaska, Hawaii shipping may require additional quotes.

8. Order Tracking

Tracking information will be emailed once your order ships.

Freight shipments may provide:

  • Tracking number

  • Carrier contact information

  • Delivery appointment scheduling

9. Delays Outside Our Control

We are not responsible for delays caused by:

  • Weather conditions

  • Carrier issues

  • Port congestion

  • Customs clearance

  • Incorrect shipping information

  • Missed delivery appointments

10. Incorrect Address

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

If an incorrect address causes:

  • Redelivery fees

  • Storage fees

  • Return freight charges

These costs will be the customer’s responsibility.

Return & Exchange Policy

At Garage Machinery, customer satisfaction is important to us. Because many of our products are large, heavy, and shipped via freight, returns and exchanges are handled under specific conditions. Please review this policy carefully before purchasing.

1. Return Eligibility

We accept returns on eligible items within 30 days of delivery, provided the item is:

✔ Unused and uninstalled
✔ In original packaging
✔ In resalable condition
✔ Complete with all parts, manuals, and accessories

Items that have been installed, modified, damaged by misuse, or not in original condition are not eligible for return.

2. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned:

  • Installed or assembled equipment

  • Used machinery or tools

  • Custom or special-order products

  • Clearance or final sale items

  • Electrical components once powered

  • Items returned without authorization

3. Freight & Large Equipment Returns

Due to the size and cost of shipping garage machinery and car lifts:

✔ Customer is responsible for return shipping costs
✔ Original shipping charges are non-refundable
✔ Return freight must be arranged through an approved carrier
✔ Equipment must be properly palletized and secured

If returned freight arrives damaged due to improper packaging, the return may be denied or partially refunded.

4. Return Authorization Required (RMA)

All returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) before shipping.

Please include:

  • Order number

  • Reason for return

  • Photos (if damaged or incorrect item)

Unauthorized returns may be refused.

5. Restocking Fee

Approved returns may be subject to a restocking fee of up to 25% depending on:

  • Product type

  • Condition of item

  • Manufacturer policy

Restocking fees help cover inspection, handling, and repackaging costs.

6. Damaged or Defective Items

If your order arrives damaged or defective:

✔ Inspect shipment at delivery
✔ Note damage on carrier receipt
✔ Take clear photos
✔ Contact us within 24 hours of delivery

Failure to report freight damage at delivery may void claims.

We will repair, replace, or issue a refund if the claim is approved.

7. Incorrect Items

If you receive the wrong item due to our error, we will:

✔ Arrange return shipping at no cost to you
✔ Send the correct item promptly

You must notify us within 3 business days of delivery.

8. Exchanges

We offer exchanges for eligible unused items within 30 days.

Customer is responsible for:

  • Return shipping

  • Price differences between items

  • Applicable restocking fees

9. Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected:

✔ Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method
✔ Processing time: 5–10 business days
✔ Shipping and handling charges are not refundable

If the return is rejected, the item may be shipped back at customer expense.

10. Order Cancellations

Orders may be canceled before shipment for a full refund.

If an order has already shipped:

  • It must be treated as a return

  • Shipping costs will not be refunded

  • Restocking fees may apply

11. Refused Deliveries

If a shipment is refused for reasons not related to damage or error:

Customer is responsible for:

  • Round-trip shipping costs

  • Carrier fees

  • Restocking fees

These charges will be deducted from the refund.
